Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
Pros: A very wide gamut of colors - images are lifelike. Ideal for photo/video editing. Great for gaming/movies to as well. Very well-designed stand; fluid motion and a breeze to adjust. Cons: Price but you definitely get what you pay for. Other Thoughts: Price drop as NEC will be coming out with a new 30' model.
Ownership: 1 day to 1 week
![]() Pros: Lots of adjustments (height, rotation, pivot, tilt), big adjustment range (never seen a monitor tilt this far before). On screen display is nice and easy to navigate. Ambient light sensor is unique and does a good job. Comes with an icm profile on the CD. Comes with long, heavy cables. Nice brightness. Thin bezel. Cons: Deep; the Dell 30' is a few inches less deep than this. The ambient light sensor is occasionally obnoxious, e.g. if the primary light source is behind you (in my case, a big window), then the backlight changes brightness frequently as you move around and block varying amounts of light. NEC software doesn't work on 64 bit Windows, but it's not really necessary.
Ownership: 1 day to 1 week
Pros: Amazing picture, great on the eyes, not a glossy junk screen, very nice sturdy and adjustable stand. Cons: Besides the obvious price, the only con is the looks are not as fancy as the apple cinema 30. Other Thoughts: Going from an HP w2408 to this, I couldn't be happier. It was worth every penny as my eyes strain so little in any lighting condition. The HP was harshly bright always and just never made me as satisfied as I have in the first hour with this one. ![]()

Awesome display for the right reasons.4/16/2010 3:46:49 PM
Pros: Picture out of the box excellent. High pixel shots from my dimage A200 look awesome on this monitor. Excellent for editing pictures or opening multiple windows . Cons: Not really a con but a awareness point, the refresh rate even with refresh helper enacted doesn't seem to be 06ms. Then again If you're spending this amount of money just for FPS games you're a tad nuts... Other Thoughts: It works for what I bought it for photo edits and web views. Supercopier 22 beta filehippo. It also has a 48 month warrenty unlike my 30' gateway that self destructed over the past month..
Ownership: 1 day to 1 week
Pros: - Many, many settings as previously mentioned are not found in a lot of monitors. Cons: Price. Really hurts the bank account. For the price I would really have liked to receive the external calibrator free. Other Thoughts: I bought this because I was getting annoyed with 1920 x 1200 resolution of the 26' and am extremely happy with my investment. I am now running the 26' as a secondary and when comparing them side by side the resolution increase is astonishing.
Ownership: more than 1 year
Pros: Excellent sRGB display for photography, graphic design, and video. Works well for CMYK pre-press in wide-gamut mode. Absolutely irreplaceable in my workflow. Cons: No Displayport input or built-in USB hub. Other Thoughts: Had this about a year and a half and will be buying this monitor until NEC stops making them.
Ownership: 1 week to 1 month
Pros: Has display adjusting features other 30' monitors to not. Cons: Really expensive. Other Thoughts: A friend of mine had the 30' monitor from a company whose name begins with D. The monitor was too bright for my eyes even on its lowest setting, and it had only one picture adjustment: brightness; everything else had to be controlled from software. Many other 30' monitors are the same way. Not this monitor: it has a real menu system like any other monitor, and, unlike the D 30' monitor, it remembers its settings between power cycles. Some people will love how blazingly bright this monitor gets, but I love the opposite: how dim I can make it and still keep the screen readable. (I have light-sensitive eyes, I guess.) It's pricey, but I'm glad I bought this and not one of the less feature-ful cometitors.

Great for graphics I'm sure :)3/14/2009 4:49:43 PM
Pros: I' m="" sure="" it's="" fantastic="" at="" that="" res="" for="" graphics="" intensive="" things,="" but="" for="" anyone="" looking="" for="" a="" good="" cheaper="" monitor,="" the="" sceptre="" 32'="" 6ms="" lcd="" in="" the="" tv="" section="" works="" very=""> Cons: none Other Thoughts: Thought I might steer people that way if they are looking at a large monitor purchase and just came in here looking at this one to drool like I have :)
